Mission 45 – Nuclear Crisis

Mission 45 is located in a plaza beside a mattress store.  This room was done a few months ago (sometime in the summer) but we forgot to write a review for it.  We went with Team Mardi, to try (at the time was) their newest room.

Creativity and Design (aka its Fancy level): – Was it inventive ? Did it fit the theme?
: 4.0 of 5.0

This was one of the more impressive rooms we have done at Mission 45.  The room takes you through (what we think) is a logical progression to ‘prevent a Nuclear Crisis’.  The room could definitely use some polish, but the set design makes sense in a story point of view.

Bells and Whistles: Was it just lockboxes throughout the Room?
Score: 3.5 of 5.0

There were a few interesting tech elements that help ‘further the story’, but definitely one that felt out of place.  Thankfully we didn’t have any issues with the tech itself, although at one point in the story, there was an abundance of ‘controls’ that became a red herring because of the situation.

(aka Frustration Level):  Was it solvable? or Did you have to be inside the creators mind to solve it?
Score: 3.0 of 5.0

The puzzles were hit and miss.  We did require at least 2 hints in the room because we couldn’t make the necessary logical leaps, but also on certain parts (like the ‘control’ part mentioned above) it would have been nice to have more direction on what needed to be done.

Staff Support/Price : Were they friendly? Were they helpful? What was the Damage?

The staff was friendly on a business-level, but not much more.

The current price is $20-25 (depending on your room selection), and were running a $15 promo at the time.  You can also probably find them on Groupon.

Overall:  Nuclear Crisis is probably one of the better rooms at Mission 45.  Of the groupon locations we’d have to say this is one of the betters ones overall, but still at the end of the day you get what you pay for.
