Perplexity – Lost and Found

Perplexity Escape Games has a new Mississauga location located at near 407 and Bramalea Rd in a commercial complex.  We were excited to hear Perplexity had new rooms, even more so that they had a NEW location.  We came along with our friends E4G and Team K-Pop for some friendly competition.

Long story short: You are Detective revisiting an unsolved case, but something doesn’t seem right.

Creativity and Design: Did it sell the story / theme?
Summary: A uniquely fun experience.

+ a great change in tone and theme as the game progresses
+ the set design was clean and complex at the same time, which worked overall.
+ the props were consistent with the theme, which is hard not to explain without spoilers
+ a unique experience for us.

Bells and Whistles: Was it more than lockboxes?
Summary:  We love it when tech just works.

+ Great immersive use of tech for surprise and story moments
+ Puzzle tech felt intuitive and worked flawlessly
+ An immersive hint system, which we needed to get us going.
+ (most importantly) no tech hiccups

Intuitive
:  Did you have to be inside the designer’s mind to solve it?
Summary: A good mix of puzzles (which is rare these days )

+ There were enough clues in the room to lead the players
+ A good balance of Aha and Task-based puzzles
+ We didn’t struggle on any puzzles, but we did require 1 hint

Staff Support/Price : Were they friendly? Were they helpful? What was the Damage?

GM Veteun is always a pleasure to chat with, he also gave us a tour around the new facility and we’re excited to see what they come up with next.  Also props to GM Mark for being equally good (or almost equal) at hosting our other game.

Overall:  We were really impressed by this new room.  We can easily say you NEED to do Lost and Found whether you’re a fan of Perplexity, in Mississauga or just looking for a fun room to do.  TRY IT, you won’t regret it.
