Perplexity – The Gate

Perplexity Escape Games has a new Mississauga location located at near 407 and Bramalea Rd in a commercial complex.  It’s been a while since Perplexity had new rooms, so we were excited, even more so when we learned they had a NEW location.  We came along with our friends E4G and Team K-Pop for some friendly competition.

Long story short: You are demonologists that are investigating the disappearance of your colleague.

Creativity and Design: Did it sell the story / theme?
Summary: Good storytelling, and props to back it up.

+ Good set design progression as the story evolves
+ props were solid and effective in storytelling
+ in-game videos that were effectively used and not too lengthy

Bells and Whistles: Was it more than lockboxes?
Summary:  Tech working is always a good thing

+ Good use of tech overall, with no tech issues

Intuitive
:  Did you have to be inside the designer’s mind to solve it?
Summary: A good mix of puzzles (which is rare these days )

+ Largely task-based, with some A-Ha’s mixed in
+ We got stuck on one puzzle, but the rest were straightforward
+ The hint system used a walkie talkie which worked

Staff Support/Price : Were they friendly? Were they helpful? What was the Damage?

The staff at Perplexity is always a pleasure to chat with, GM Mark hosted our game with friendly and effective service we get at Perplexity.
